Lost In My ThoughtsOnce again, I have become lost in my thoughts,
I'm wading through this sea, searching for a shark,
I need to find the right thoughts, the right ideas,
I need to get a hold of the beauties, the divas.
I never did enjoy being lost in my thoughts,
all the good ones sink to the bottom of the pot,
and I have to look further, look deeper.
If only the mountain side were steeper.
Some think being lost in their thoughts is fun,
but for me, it always makes me feel dumb,
having so many things going on in my mind,
I don't like it because it's confusing sometimes.
There are times when I have no idea what to think,
some events that have occurred knocked my mind out of sync.
It can take a little while to think straight again,
to be able to express my good thoughts with a pen.
Thank goodness I am not always lost,
I can't imagine what that would cost.
When I'm finally able to write them down,
I go to bed that night sleeping nice and sound.
