Terrorist

He committed a crime
and I cannot bail him out
because all I have is a dime
and a great amount of doubt.

Why did he do something like this?
What is it that I have missed?
Is he not himself anymore?
Does he really want us to be at war?

If a nuclear bomb goes off today,
nothing will ever be the same
and here's what I have to say:

This is not a game.
This is not an act of shame.
This is not the way to get on the hall of fame.

I can't believe that he is the cause of this.
If it weren't for him, thousands wouldn't be missed.

I'm lucky to still be alive.
His attempt on my life was shocking,
when he forced me to take a dive
with a bleeding man rocking.

There is more to be said,
but first I must be led
into the darkness ahead.
